like, nine times out of ten, whatever killed the boys would have broken the umbra staff

but it takes a lot more than that to kill a lich

and the town doesnt reset when the boys die, the town resets when the town resets (presumably after the hour but we don’t actually know for sure)

which meant every single loop, she had at least a few minutes (but easily a lot longer, and definitely at least half an hour for all the deaths in the mine) where she was free, but in a town where everyone (including her brother and two of her best friends) was dead

and that probably wasn’t fun (and more than a little bittersweet)

(not to mention taako literally died more in eleventh hour than the entirety of stolen century, which means lup watched her brother die more times in the span of a day than she ever had before in their lives)

this arc is an angsty one for everyone but i dont think people are considering lup enough here
