That Kenyan elephant orphanage is David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, and they will save and raise literally any orphan animal they find. They mostly have baby elephants but they’ve also saved a giraffe and work with the local farmers and authorities to aid in adult elephants who have wandered too close to human areas and prevent poaching.

Females they raised and released actually come back to the Trust to show of their newborns, some even wait to labour until they’re at the Trust.

They are so well known among elephants themselves that wild elephants come to them for help.

They also foster their babies!
