Speaking from experience, it doesn’t take much for something, something that could even be beyond your control, to put the average person on the street, but this capitalist society makes it hard as fuck to go from absolute destitution to just just-barely-getting-by poor. The fabulously wealthy might have some unforeseen financial hiccups, but all they are reduced to is just plain rich.
