(CSA Warning)I don’t know what was worse, the fact that Tumblr had a child sex porn ring for years and no one knew about it until we got removed from the Apple app store, or the fact that so many people called everything they didn’t like CP, except for the actual child porn in question. There were so many people going after pairings of fictional people, wasting hundreds of posts about how bad shipping fictional characters was, that the real stuff was left under the pile of bullshit. 1/2

2/2 This was literally a “The Boy who Cried Wolf” scenario. There was a legitimate CP problem, with real kids being affected and hurt by predators, and people went after other people, sometimes minors, just because they shipped fictional characters. Do the people that waste time going after fiction not get that they quite literally left actual victims abandoned? All for the sake of making sure someone didn’t pair some anime/cartoon/video game characters together? This just angers me, deeply.

even more angering is the smug refrain i’m seeing right now on tumblr of “see, we were right all along, you fandom pedos got tumblr removed from the app store,” etc, etc, etc, which is absolutely fucking disgusting to me. how dare people start this shit up when what started this purge is literal, real-life child sex trafficking. 

it makes me want to vomit that people are even comparing child pornography to fandom content. it makes me want to vomit even more that when i point that out, people come back with “but fandom content is against the ToS now, too!!!”

doesn’t fucking matter. tumblr can do whatever the hell they want with their website. it doesn’t make you ignoring the suffering of real fucking children in favor of smugly talking about sheith or whatever the hell any better. 

the government is investigating tumblr users because of child sex trafficking. tumblr got removed from the app store because of child sex trafficking. don’t let that get shoved under the rug. 

real. life. children. were. being. raped.

(and still are being raped, their blogs being taken down doesn’t change their existence, they probably are just moving to another platform unless/until the government investigation finds shit.)

and even now, i see posts every day literally saying that the purge was because of fandom content, that it was writers/artists doing this, not even acknowledging the actual fucking real-life victims involved in this. 

why the fuck am i expected to believe these people care about csa victims and trafficked kids if they ignore their very existence at every opportunity?
