y’all have any fic recs that are about vlad and danny that are not p0m0us pep for whatever it’s called? vlad and danny have one of the best arch-nemesis dynamics i have ever seen but i don’t wanna see anything gross

okay imma go on a little rant here about why i love vlad and danny’s dynamic

• it’s definitely not the first time that we’ve seen the bad guy try to become a mentor to the protagonist (slade and robin from teen titans comes to mind) but it stands out due to the fact that fenton and phantom both have separate beef with masters and plasmius
• for the majority of the series, they’re the only two of their kind, which means that they both could have enormously benefited from having a mentor/mentee relationship if vlad wasn’t the literal worst
• they actually kind of liked each other before they found out about each other’s identities?
• they’re at a continuous stalemate because they both have blackmail over the other
• it’s canon that danny is willing to accept vlad’s offer of adoption(?) in certain, albeit extreme, circumstances because they understand each other
• vlad is willing to throw out his offer completely and stop holding back on danny if he’s pissed enough.
• “little badger”
• there’s more and i’m so tired and this doesn’t make sense but anyway they had a lot of potential and i love it
