So here are some examples of what got flagged from my blog.. THANK YOU TUMBLR FOR FLAGGING THESE FILTHY, DISGUSTING POSTS! I MEAN WHAT THE ACTUAL F***?!?! A PAINTING ON SOMEBODY’S BACK? WOMAN DRINKING A GLASS OF WINE? GUY HOLDING A GIRL IN HIS LAP? KISSING?! NAKED LEGS?!?! AND THE NUMBER ONE THANK U GOES FOR SAVING THIS COMMUNITY FROM THAT AWFUL, GROTESQUE AND DISRESPECTFUL PICTURE OF SOME PUPPY’S PAW IN A F****** HAND. This shit can’t be happening.. I’m slowly but surely losing faith in this world. I mean i get it, you don’t want clips from porn sites etc. The only thing why tumblr was better from other social media sites was that you could post anything up here. If this really persists from now on it’s the beginning of the end for this site. I hope that this post reaches as many users as possible, so they can see how much of quality content is going to be lost.
I have had 3 mineral posts flagged as adult content today. They contained a tourmaline, a muscovite, and a galena. On Friday I had 3 fossil posts flagged as adult content, including a fossil fish, a fossil tooth from a mastodon, and a Tyrannosaur vertebrae. I’ve submitted appeals for each. This has been getting worse over the past month, apparently most of geology content is now only for adults.
Apparently you can’t get your rocks off on Tumblr anymore.

Of 1,445 of my posts, approximately 18 were flagged. Only two of them were what I would even consider “horny adjacent”. That’s 1.2% of the content I’ve blogged over the past year.

A picture of Angus, four pictures of Taakitz kissing, three pictures of Kravitz, a picture of Garyl an Actual Binicorn It’s A Fucking Horse Tumblr, a picture of Lup, a picture of Brian and more and more

The things I noted were the pictures flagged were usually much more beige in color. Most pictures tagged included a person of color (if there were people at all).
Significance
Tumblr is still reportedly displaying ads for porn and “live streamers” of white women so there you go.
Look, I know I’m not an NSFW blog, or am in any way affiliated with NSFW shit, but many people dabble in both on here, there are those who built a community based around something intrinsically lewd – – that doesn’t make it any less valid or significant. Tumblr states on their twitter bio: “where your interests connect with your people” – but that’s absolute bullshit when you ban something as normalized and okay as nudity and lewd art.
NSFW artists are still artists trying to make due, NSFW photographers, amateur or not, still should have a platform to share their stuff with a community.
Tumblr thinks that everything will become perfect and idealized once they remove the NSFW aspects from their site, but that’s not how forcibly removing content works – it doesn’t work, it pisses people off, it waters down the content on your site, and it destroys your already fragile reputation.
Tumblr never fucking listens, they refuse to listen, regardless of how much shit this site goes through, how much negativity it acquires, they make the worst decisions or no decision at all. They need to fucking learn, or they’ll lose something of value to many on here. They need to rethink their actions, and fast.

Jokes aside, these are just some of the dozen or so posts of mine that were flagged. Full disclosure, not all of them was entirely unwarranted per the new guidelines; other then that one taakitz lingerie thing (which btw, wasn’t flagged) I’ve never really posted anything pornographic, but I had some joke-y comics with sexual undertones and some (read: 3) drawings with non-sexual nudity, the latter of which I’ve now deleted. Tumblr’s new guidlines are kinda vague? on whether non-sexual nude drawings are against the rules now, but I’m not willing to fight with staff about it.
All the other stuff I’ve sent requests for review, but I’m gonna be honest here folks; This may be the end of the line for this art blog.
Now, I wanna be clear. I AM NOT DELETING.
But, I’m not uploading new things if it means doing this shit on the regular for completely innocuous posts. I don’t need that stress. I was planning to slowly migrate over to pillowfort or IG and keep crossposting here, but unless tungl.hell get’s it’s shit together, will not be posting any more original content.
